My hermit and blue legged and red legged crabs just had a feast on my turbo snail, I guess he flipped over and that was the end. Are there any snails that the crabs won't eat?

Not that I know of.If you are using sand as your substrate you could try nassarius snails, they seem to do a good job of evading the greedy inverts. Also make sure you have plenty of extra shells lying around so your hermits are less likely to attack the snails for theirs.
