Our tank has been set up for about a year now, All my parameters are beautiful, I have had saltwater tanks for about 20 years now. I have never seen this many snails in one tank. I know we have an extremely large one of these. She must have had a load of eggs and her and we now have an abundance of snails. The bottom of my tank never has anything laying in the bottom of it it gets cleaned extremely fast rate with all these little guys. But they are growing fast. Any idea on what they are? The big one we have has a really long tube sticking out of the front of it shall just like these little guys do. I will submit a picture of them as well. They hide in the rocks and as soon as its feeding time bam! Hundreds of snails pop up lol

if they live in the sand and have the tube coming out of the front then they are probably nassarius snails. pretty cool to have them breed in the tank. Usually snail eggs get eaten before they hatch.... well, most of the time :)

I wish my nassarius snails would do breed I've had turbos breed before but not them. Nassarius are the best cleaners if you ask me

That's what I was thinking they were, I only have one big Nassarius, I kept finding little white eggg sacks all over my tank. And then these little guys keep appearing lol

The spot that I circled is what the eggs look like, there a clear white case with the eggs inside. Those were all over my tank, behind my powerheads

I'd feed them. wait a few months for them to grow a bit then sell them to the locals :) Maybe your LFS will give you some store credit for them!

Oh they are eating well ;) I put a lot of food in my tank to keep them growing ;) not a bad idea once they get bigger
