Snall mushroom coral fell inside rock

So I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it out. It was a small half inch sized mushroom, fell into a hole in the rock. If I cant get it out will it poison the tank if it dies?

Mushrooms move and are very hearty, if it wants more light or food it will move.

I have had some get into rocks and months later move the rock and the mushroom was still there...without light they will not grow and will become dull, but mushrooms can survive just about anything HAHAH

Mushrooms are not known to nuke tanks when they die. A small one is not going to add much to the tanks bio load if it dies. That being said mushrooms are survivors, do not be surprised if you see it in a few weeks growing out of the hole it fell in ‍

Okay, I'll try to get it out but if I cant it sounds like it'll be alright. This is unfortunate though, I liked that little shroom.

Try sucking it out with a turkey baster. That has worked for me on occasion to get things out of holes in rocks. Just be sure to suck rather than blow. That will only force it deeper into the hole.

Tried, it's too deep in a narrow crevice

Just had one pop up after a year! Not kidding.

If you have an extra powerhead lying around you could try and dislodge the mushroom with that. GL.

Thanks everyone! We gave it our best but it's in there too good. Maybe I'll get lucky and see it again someday.
