I thinks about that time that I start a new thread showing off some of the corals and progress of my tank. It’s been up and running for almost a year but has had many ups and downs. I’m still battling an issue with unwanted metals. I just can’t figure out what has leached so much tin and copper. It’s the main reason this tank has struggled and I’ve lost Sps

BUT the tank is finally growing and I think it’s time to share...

Yea it’s a nice piece. Probably my little mini colony of cherry bomb! It glows under blues but pictures don’t do it justice! How about yourself?

Regarding your metals issue- some of the magnets on the wet side of the early gyres where not completely sealed. Have you checked there?

Yes I checked all the magnets, pumps, skimmer, etc. I think it may be the actual sump itself. It was a repurposed 20gallon that may have been used as a quarantine tank before I received it.

thank you! i appreciate the compliment! there's just so many variables to taking the photos that i need more practice to improve

After 3 hours of hammering, maneuvering and hoping I was able to fit the new sump in the stand. Just barely though. I hope this change doesn’t have a negative impact on the coral after everything has been doing so good. Don't mind the plumbing.... ill be redoing it within the next month or so.
