Here was mine(on the right)...............it started to fade on me and over many months I ended up losing it.

They should have blue coralite edges near the upper areas of the branch.........fwiw,Adam's pic looks right the lower pic looks like a regular Bubble gum pink milli. Snipers is more of a red almost a rusty type red.

Cool, beautiful piece. I'm sorry you lost it. Interesting I've never heard it described as deep red but you appear to be correct based on this old pic I just found from Hugo aka snipersps. I saw the pic before but it was supposedly just of a "bubblegum milli" found by some guy named hugo, so I didnt know it was one in the same until I figured out he was snipersps.

Adam's description says metallic pink and purple but his has probably morphed over the 8+ years hes had it or it's under really high par or something. I've seen many peoples blue corals look purple and vice versa. The other pic said it was snipers so maybe hes running zeo and pastelled it out? Or it's just another bubblegum like you said, the polyps look much paler but again not sure if zeospur or whatever can do that.

Thanks for posting, I'm excited to get mine.

I'm sure the coral is going to look different under various lighting. The polyps being in or out can also effect how it looks.

Maybe @snipersps can chime in with the facts.

I've had a little sad runt of a frag for several years, could never get it to grow. It was more purplish blue, but never grew much in the way of branches, just encrusted. So I never saw it's true colors...

Rough, we all have had our fair share of runts lol.

I'm just surprised how few people have colonies of it. There are some small vendors selling normal bubblegums as snipers but the only legit pics I've seen are in this thread. Not many hobbyists with it either as far as I can tell, or they just dont post about it or sell frags of it.

Red body with blue tip Millepora is quite common from nearly all AQ facilities in Indo - shut down for a while, but should be back up soon. While probably not as nice, you can get a whole 3-4" colony for like $50-60 and dwarfs the cost of a true Snipers frag for many times that price. This could be one case where the generic is "good enough" and does not justify spending more. ...kinda like all of the AQ shortcakes now as as good as the original SSC.

I have seen these called just Bubblegum (many varities of this), Smurf Millepora, Papa Smurf Mille, Superman Millepora and all kinds of other names for the AQ variety. I trust Ed - he has seen a lot of stuff, so if he says that it is better, then I believe him.

Personally, I have only ever seen it in person at MACNA here in Denver (2015). It was expensive but looked really nice.

Wet Thumbs Tropical Punch is similar, but not the same. This is a rare frag too.

Here are some of the ones that are probably AQ:

I am pretty interested to see what my frag turns into but when I asked Adam if the cost was worth it compared to other Bubblegum milli's he said "definitely best bbgum I have seen by a mile".

Wow, this frag is stunning. I hope I can grow it out into a large colony one day.

Adam's description said his is a metallic pink with purple tips, my frag is definitely metallic pink but transitions to purple and then a sort of indigo blue on the tip. You cant quite see everything in the photo but there are 3 distinct flesh colors there, and the polyps are a rich dark red with white tips. Beautiful. We will see if it morphs into the dark red/blue in my tank like some others have seen or stays pink/purple/indigo.

Ha same here. I have had a nearly 9 year tumultuous relationship with this thing. My first original color seen on my site grew like week. I actually had 2-3" options available on the site that first year Then one day I started fragging it and it was never the same. Any time i touched it, it went down hill fast. I have grown and lost, and regrown this one about 6-7 time now since then. For some wonderful reason its taken a liking to my new main system, and has for the first time in a long time been able to frag, and not die on me the next day lol. I have a tiny colony is in the halide tank under 65k iwasaki, and one even smaller hunk in the back up under led.

Hoping 10th times the charm lol

I think that @BoomCorals has, or has had, Snipers on his site.
Where I got mine from before he shut down. My hadn't gotten the blue tips yet but body is showing pink for now. This is under Radions though... I plan to move it in my display under T5s with a more 12k-14k light and see if it gets to form under those lights.

I keep two colonies, one under a Radion and other a Halide. The Radion can be bit tougher to get the blue tips but always stays super bright pink. I do have a couple frags that have blue tips right now [emoji41]
