Snorkelling

Not rubbing it in or anything, but im headed to the beach early in the morning to do some snorkelling!!! I will try and get some pics loaded later in the week.

I never realized how many fish there were, you could stand still and catch damsels, blennies , tangs and gobies all day. plus hermit crabs and conchs are everywhere. i caught 15 damsels, 5 tangs, 5 algae blennies, 2 bright yellow algae blennies, and a angel fish. lots of fun!

I hate you. Here I am at work and you are in the ocean swimming with the fishes (and not even wearing lead galoshes.....)

well pat, i went to the local dive shop at home and bought what he said were the best goggles they had ($100) bought the best snorkel ($50) and the best fins ($40) . The goggles leak around the lens, the snorkel takes on water, and the fins are like strapping knives to your toes. other than that the equipment is great. I dont know what kind of tangs they are, they are a surgeon fish, i found a colony of anemones today

You are supposed to keep the other end of the snorkel (not the one in your mouth) above water. The water leaks in when it dips under water. Why didn't you borrow stuff? I don't even know if I could find my scuba stuff..... I'm certified, but husband isn't so there goes the scuba life..... My stuff is good stuff (though it may have dry rotted by now.....)

COOL beans! I went snorkeling in the Bahamas and it's definitely a cool thing to do. We should take a club trip somewhere sometime. Maybe a cruise.

I'm sure the spouses would really go for that. And we'd have to go on a children welcome cruise for several of us which means Brandon and his wife wouldn't be joining us.....

hey susan, i know how to snorkel! it is a dry snorkel, it has a float valve that closes when you go under water. it doesnt leak when you go under water totally, just if you are under the surface. and only sometimes, i think i may have gotten some sand in the lower valve.
trying to figure out how to get some pics from a flash card to the laptop.

my brother came to check on the cat and the downstairs door was wide open. The cat was freaking out to. no biggie, just had to give you a hard time ya know!
