So I have had my snowflake clowns in after I got my new 220 cycled. I put in a rose bta. The male has taken to sleeping in the nem at night. Is this normal? Will the female do the same? She chills up by the return for the tank. Not far from the nem. Normal ? Appreciate

The nem shrinks pretty small at night. Probably 1/3 the size when halides are on. I run right now , 2 - 250w radium. 2 - 48 inch vho super acentics.

Is it normal for clowns to take a couple days to actually host the nem for sleeping purpose? The male seems right at home. Female has not takin a liking to it as a place to sleep. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience to justify this behavior. Any input appreciated. The symbiotic relationship between the clowns and the anemone is by far one of the coolest things I have ever seen in a reef / fish tank.

its normal. my femal picasso only sleeps in the bta i have and then when the lights are on they never go in it. the male always stays out of the nem. after a while the one not hosting will get curious and want to try it out and then you'll have them both in the nem.
