Snowflake eel or bad idea

Would really love to add a snowflake eel to my 90 gal mixed reef, but don't want to sacrifice any of my current live stock. My fish are decent sized nothing I think a 6" snowflake would mess with, but worried about peppermint cleaner shrimp and the other inverts in tank. What's your experience with snowflakes and mixed tanks? Love to hear them and opinions.

P.s. algae problem in tank pic is now resolved [emoji1]

So long as you keep your eel well fed and satiated it shouldn/t be a problem. I had a snowflake and zebra and never once did either bother any other inhabitants including peppermints and cleaners. BUT, there always can be that one ell that is just a *******. Once in the tank, it is VERY difficult to remove. Just my anecdotal experience...

my snowflake was fine until it began to turn into a huge pig and growing extremely fast. at that point it began to attack my other fish (it was about a foot and a half) it deliberately tried to eat some new anthias I added into the tank. removing was pita and took a lot of patience with a fish trap and a net. they grow fast. shrimp would 100% be eaten at some point.

Thanks for the input...never thought of the removal part...I did think to myself if he became a problem I d just remove and donate to lfs...it's hard I love the idea of having one and the uniqueness of having an eel in a tank....it's hard deciding and weighing the pros and possible cons with having one
