Snowflake eel question

I picked up a snowflake eel that’s about 1 1/2ft long was brought into petstore from someone breaking down there tank. He’s super active I added him into my tank last night. I tryed feeding him this morning and didn’t seem interested in the food. How many days did it take your eel to eat after being added into your tank.

Okay so he could be used to different feeding procedures. Maybe the tongs are throwing him off. To retrain fish it could take awhile. He has to get hungry enough to abandon his old ways. I would not worry until 3-4 days go by. Then try different foods and different ways of introducing the food to the animal. Clams/mussels/scallops/squid are other options you could try.

When I had one I fed him frozen PE mysis with tongs. Took him a few days after settling in to eat.
