Snowflake eel

I wonder if I should be getting concerned. 5 months ago I bought a snowflake eel. He was about 9” long...ish. Now he is a solid 12” long! I have a 200 gallon mixed reef... plent of rock work, caves and hidey places.

Is he going to outgrow my tank?

Ideal tank for this eel which in captivity grows UP TO 3 feet remaing thin compared to a moray.

He is growing faster than I thought he would. I just read something I had not read before. His normal expected lifespan is only like 4 years. That kind of explains the Rapid growth I’ve seen.

Ive seen 6 years but average 3 of those I know with snowflakes.
