Snowflake for me?

So my wife wants a snowflake eel for our 80 gal, but I’m a little concerned about getting one. Tankmakes would be:

2 clowns
Blue throat trigger
Royal gamma
Midas blenny
Starry eyed blenny
Fire shrimp
Melanarsis wrasse
Leopard wrasse

The starry eyed is my daughters favorite fish, but it’s just a baby maybe an inch and half, and I rather like my fire shrimp.

I’m concerned the eel will make a meal of some of my more favorite tank inhabitants. Has anybody had experience with a similar set up?

I would be slightly concerned about a few of your tank inhabitants becoming a quick meal (later on down the road when the eel is full grown that is). But mostly, I feel like your tank is probably maxed for fish as it is and adding an eel which is an incredibly messy eater, won't be doing yourself any favours and could lead to other issues.

BTW I'm not trying to say it can't be done, as a 90 is a reasonable home for a snowflake I'm just highlighting some potential issues that you need to be aware of

I agree that you are probably pretty close to stocked, maybe a few more small fish would work.

I am no expert on eels, but I think you might have some issues with bioload and tank compatibility.

If you want to keep those other tank inhabitants, don't do the eel/

Here's some info:
The snowflake moray eel is not safe to keep with shrimp, crabs or lobsters, since crustaceans are their natural diet. However, they are safe to keep with most other invertebrates, including starfish, anemones and sea urchins. Snowflake morays are reef safe and will not bother corals, though these eels are messy eaters and will require strong filtration and a relatively large protein skimmer for the long-term health of any corals housed in their aquarium. The moray eel will likely consume very small fish such as damselfish. Compatible tankmates for the snowflake moray eel include other relatively large, aggressive fish, such as lionfish, tangs, triggerfish, wrasses, and possibly even other snowflake moray eels if they are both introduced to the tank at the same time.[6] Snowflake moray eels are capable of inflicting a severe bite.

I agree with everyone else. Maybe you need a new tank!

Make the wife happy, your bioload will go down as the eel will eat the shrimp, blenny(s), and if you dont have a nem for the clowns they are dinner as well.
Seriously, the eel is a huge bioload and will eventually eat what I listed above.
Finally, you have to seal your tank/overflow with a lid that won't let the eel escape. They go carpet surfing through the smallest of holes.
