So a rock flower walks into a bar...

Or maybe it just goes for a walk. I recently (last Wednesday) got two rock flower nems. Love them! They had been traveling on one of my rocks since. Not far, just inches from one part of the rock to another (the flow was a bit too strong on the one side). The bigger one finally settled in a nice crevice. The smaller one was on the low flow side and seemed good for a couple days. This morning, it was on the move again heading a bit upwards on the rock. By this afternoon, it had disappeared. I can’t find it anywhere (visually, I didn’t tear apart the tank or anything). I looked in my back section (I have a biocube) and didn’t see him. The powerhead is on the complete opposite side of the tank and no evidence it got in there.

Do they sometimes hide and then come back out? Lots of holes in the rock next door he could be hiding in. Just curious if he may come back out soon. He’s about the size of a quarter or 50 cent piece. It’s the one on the bottom.

They tend to like the edge of rocks at the sand. But they do sometimes settle in good holes. I've had a couple go missing and never saw them again. If it's not a huge job, you might go looking for it, especially if it was expensive!

I probably should go looking for it, but there is really only one place I think it could be and that's inside some of my rocks (I have rocks that are just full of holes). In that case, I wouldn't find him anyway.
