Give ya a little history here first, I had obtained this wonderful creatures in my QT tank now what to do follow trends or do what I've always done and mad scientist it, well I went the mad scientist way of course!
So I started experimenting with a few of the additive I already dose with, I'd elivate the doses by 100 fold per the amount of water I was using I didn't really notice anything happening to the flat worms then it dawned on me they use potassium chloride for lethal injection, so I thought if it can help kill a human then it's gotta have an effect on flat worms right? Well it did I did 60ml of tank water 20ml of potassium this would cause them to shrivel and fall but wasn't killing them so I thought well what's another lethal additive I have around then I thought hmmmm well kent tech m kill bryopsis and will cause you're corals to bleach out if used to sustain high levels of magnisium so I threw it to the mix so my new ratio was 60ml TW: 20ml k: 25ml mag and this was the magics solution! Here's what you can expect to see soak coral for about 30-40sec, if you have AEFW what you'll see is them turn to white blobs/spots when you see this give them another 5 sec. Then a swift swirl and they'll be off of you coral dead! With very little effects to you acros/sps so one again here's you mix!!!!!!
60ml tank water
20ml potassium (I use a Brightwells stock solution)
25ml kent tech M
I've used this method and passed it around to my friend who was also suffering it works great, it's safe, and does the job quick alway remember to remount your frag previous to each dip to help ditch and remaining eggs! Dip once a week until you notice there isn't anymore AEFW in the bottom of your bowl and they are good to go to the display tank! AEFW free!
I hope this will help anyone who has been battling these nasty little buggers!
Disclaimer not responsible for anything that could come of using this lol but really I've dipped the same coral probably 5-6 times and the corals were always fine with better polyp extension afterwards!
