So there are like 200 sand dollars out on the beach still alive. Think I can bring for home for my tank? Also there are the little thing that dig under the sand. " they are in a shell; it's kill s of hard to explain them"

they probably wont do well, they intake too much nutrients from your sand bed

People take those off the beach and let them die and then make touristy things out of them for sale. I hate that!!

Basically check your local wildlife department. It differs from state to state.

Sand fleas make great bait for PomPano . That`s a nice big sand flea .

Per Florida fish and wildlife commission, if they are alive leave them alone. Only white ones (dead) can be taken, although most of these break before making it to shore. If you snorkel the beach you're better off finding an intact one. I find the fatter, more delicate, sea biscuit ones while snorkeling in overhead water.

No thats not it, it looks like a clam but not. I'm home now an still id like to know the name of those animals. So if you step where the tide comes up and dig you will see hundreds of them. They are all color white with either purple,yellow.

I know what you are talking about when I was a kid and always went to st Pete beach id dig my hand into the sand and see a ton of them at the surface then quickly burrowed as deep as they could and it used to tickle my palm!
