The nightmare came true. 3 days no power during a heat wave. Within 30 minutes, I had the tank hooked up to a generator we use on our travel trailer. Thank goodness the E260 uses a single plug into a power source. Everything stayed running. I don't have a chiller so I put frozen Gatorade bottles filled with water in the space between the skimmer and the foam media. They fit like a glove. Tank got up to 84* F with a 4 hour frozen bottle rotation schedule. It's been 24 hours now since power came back and the corals are all coming back. Small sting on my green slimer from a Kenya tree wilting onto it. Lost some sponges that were not added but grew over time and my rusty angelfish didn't make it. I am exhausted from the heat and stress but it appears I pulled it off. LFS said to seed bacteria, change carbon and do a couple water changes which I did. Almost looks as if nothing happened now. Any other suggestions are welcome. Here is a picture of my thermostat at the peak.

Great save.

The wife and kids went to a hotel. Not sure I could do that again. Brutal.
LOL, time for a bigger generator so that you can plug in a window unit:)
