How many of you all keep multiple tanks? Meaning not a quarantine but multiple show tanks. Could be reef tanks fowler tanks be a mx of both. How many tanks do you keep and how much effort do you put into keeping them running?

At the moment I have three tanks. I started with a 90 gallon lps and softies and only had the one for a year then I decided I wanted to try sps mainly acros but I already filled up the Lps tank so I got a nuvo fusion 40 and filled it up with acros and fell in love with them now I mainly focus on the acro tank and just maintain the Lps. I recently setup a 180g that I'm gonna turn into a sps tank because the 40 is to small and I want more acros and I'm gonna sell The 90g lps tank. The acros have ruined me..

We used to have 4 tanks going. A 125 gallon fowler that ended up with a few corals, the 75 mixed reef tank and a 55 gallon cichlid tank, and a 14 gallon biocube for our octopus. It was extremely demanding and costly. Water changes weekly were an all day affair. Now with a toddler we just have the 75 reef and a fluval nano we take care of for my mother. I do miss the other tanks and animals though.

Currently have only 1, a mixed reef RedSea 525 (139 gallon), but getting ready to buy #2, a Waterbox 75.2, (75 gallon) for SPS only. I was really on the fence of adding a 2nd system. But really feel if I want SPS and particularly Acro's need a 2nd and don't want to give up the mixed reef.

75 gal mixed reef and a 32 gal biocube softie. I spend a lot more time and money than I absolutely have to. I could get by spending a couple hours every other weekend on water changes and minimal upkeep during the week but I take my time and enjoy it.

I have 2 x 12o galleon tanks, no 1 mixed reef running for 2 years and now absolutely full of coral from softies to SPS, my no2 tank now up and running for 4 weeks and I am trying different LEDs and powerheads and eventually coral I have not got in no 1 cant wait to see how this one progress, semi retired now so more time to spend on something I love doing, just forget about the cost

Im asking due to the fact that I am getting an upgrade for a 55gallon reef and have just started to tear down the tank in preperation for the tank. I am just trying to decide if focusing on one tank is better than setting up a new tank.

currently I have a 180 mixed reef and a 90 fowlr. The 180 has been running about 2.5 yrs, the 90 I just started up in June with some of the rock that was in the 180 (got some new to add to the 180 to change the scape). I had a jbj 28 but it was by far the most work. The 180 and 90 are not to bad, since I'm testing/mixing/doing wc its just a little more of each

3 , 350 redsea , 170 red sea and 100 liter sumpless ...all have corals and fish .
2 are in my garage as my wife won't allow any more of my habit into the house lol

I like having two...different focus with each so I can try different methods, plus they are in different rooms so I have one to look at while working on the computer and one if hubs and I are watching TV.

Not allowed to have one in the bedroom though....
