So here is my question I was thinking about what I want to do in my "refugium" area in my new ruby 36 sump. if I wanted to grow macroalgae or grow coral. I am going to be using matrix and marine pure blocks and denitrator regardless I am just trying to figure out which one outweighs the other in pros. To me they both will suck out Po4 and No3 due to the fact corals use those chemicals to not starve and to grow while macro algae may take it up in a faster rate. if I did a coral section, I already have a light and that this would allow me not to have frags in my main display(which is a new tank, check out my build thread for up to date stuff) and it will also allow me a place to grow out frags until I think they are healthy enough to move up to the main display while consuming some nutrients. The Refugium with chateo would be more of a place for pods to breed and the main purpose is for nutrient removal. So what would you rather have in this blank area?
For me I think a frag section would better suit me due to the fact I am not planning on having too much nutrients so i do not want to strip my water of all nutrients b/c I am running a skimmer, matrix, marine pure and corals lol.
