As i understand it MV cysts fall off a fish, repopulate then find another host. If that were the case then how come the copper already in my system (FOWLER) didnt repel the spores or whatever theyre called from attaching themselves to the fish? I know copper can be absorbed by LR, sands, etc but i dose at minimum 3x the recommended amount and i tested.

If it's not at thereaptitic levels (for whatever reason) it will not completely stop the life cycle

I can almost gurantee it is at therapeutic level. I dosed ,then redosed , and redosed again to make sure. Half of my fish are dead the other half looks like they might pull thru. Today is the 5th days from first onset of symptom.

The problem is if it's staying constantly at therapeutic levels. If they drop for even a short time, they have time to infect your fish. When that happens they are burrowed under the skin of the fish and protected from the copper. That's all it takes to continue the life cycle. Just one to make it through to keep it going. The live rock and sand will make this very hard for you to guarantee the levels stay steady

I see. Next time im going to QT instead of putting copper in my DT. It's easier to catch and dip w/o having to tear things down to net the fish. Thanks!
