I can see where it stays with the lights on, but have yet to find evidence of his work when lights are out. So not exactly sure what its doing.

I got a pencil urchin from ReefCleaners. Best I can tell, it eats the coraline paint off the CaribSea Liferocks. Never seen it touch algae. So, I added a tuxedo urchin. It mostly does acrobatics on the glass and the wavemaker power cord. So got some turbos, and they mostly hung out in the corner. So, I drained down the water 75% and started pulling and scrubbing.I can see where it stays with the lights on, but have yet to find evidence of his work when lights are out. So not exactly sure what its doing.

I think that's very debatable...they're omnivores and if you do a quick Google search, some people have had them eat corals...i really don't think they're 100% reef safe based on the experiences of others...
Reefcleaners - they are considered reef safe
