So I bought a harlequin shrimp...

Does anyone know how big of starfish the harlequin will eat. .I've got a handful of asterina that I want to keep in check or eradicate but i also have a 5" sandsifter starfish ( dont rememb3r technical name) will harlequin eat him?

Yes I did the same thing and within 30 min the Harlequin got the sandsifter it will not eat brittle stars and 1 can take down large starfish.

i have one and is setting up a asterina star breeding tank soon. They are pretty hardy seastars and multiply rapidly. I will give the harlequin about 15-20 asterinas a day and when I run low I may put in a chocolate chip star for $5 every 4-5 months so the asterinas will get multiplying again. Feels less guilty because those asterinas are small living creatures*
