So I have cycled for 4 weeks today am I ready

So tank has cycled for 4 weeks today. Never saw too much of a spike on anything and have been ghost feeding and testing almost daily. I saw Ammonia spike a little about 10 days ago but nitrate and nitrate never moved. Tank is 7 foot 265 Gallon with another 40 Gallon in Sump. I have live sand and rocks that were dry. I have saw a little diatom on the sand a few times and rocks have colored up a little. They are not so white anymore. Also I have a ton of hydroids on the glass which is weird. I saw some on my 125 but nothing like this. I have miracle mud and live sand in the refugium and have put some filter

cloth in 3 weeks ago that has been in my 125 for a month. Look at the tests and let me know your thoughts. A few told me because such a big water column I wont see a huge spike.

Why not try one fish. You sound like you know what you are doing and the test look good.

Ya been reefing for about a year now. One thing I learned is to always ask questions even when I think I know and to go slow. I may only add some coral on this build to start. Couple people told me it works better. I am prob gonna let another week go by and do a 40 gallon water change and go from there. I ordered a few fish gonna put in QT so the time should work. I wanted to get some opinions on the situation though especially since its a bigger water column

Yea, I would go the coral route too. Like you said it better to wait too... but if you wanted to rush a hardy fish that's cheap why not?

Looks good to me man. As long as you seen the spikes and dissipation of each besides phosphate then you would be good. I put my chromis in mine for 24 hours and when I seen he was very happy I put the rest in after all my tests were good

Looks to me you still have a lil ammonia showing. Could be wrong though

I agree looks like .5ppm Ammonia. Give it another week and test again.

So went the full 6 weeks before I added anything. A few coral and they seemed happy, and added a couple of fish. The whole reason I got such a big tank was to get a full size Naso and found one at the LFS and got him in today.

Ya, long streamers on the tail and is prob like 10 inches. Biggest one Ive had ever. Very happy
