Interested to know how they compare to each other. I have viparspectras on my 220 sps dominant and I'm getting great colors and growth.

I was getting pretty good colouration and growth too, I don’t plan on selling my viparspectras. When I sell my house this summer and move into my other place I plan on setting up a comparison system.
it was the uneven par distribution. I tried taking out the lenses and with the channels cranked up to 100% the par loss was significant. I was only able to attain roughly 270 par in places that the reflectors had 400. at 72/16 blue:white. However inches over the par dropped significantly to 200.

And my curiosity on whether radions tech is actually better than bb tech At growing coral.

this was 100% alcohol feuled. And the guy at the lfs was nice he tracked down 4 pros for me. I was exchanging emails and the next thing I know I’m buying 2600$ in lighting.

I’m hoping that there’s a typo somewhere because if you paid $2600 for four Gen 5 XR15 Pros then you seriously overpaid. They retail for $419 each, so you shouldn’t have paid more than $1700.

Canada bud...575 each here plus 13% tax. We aren’t as lucky as Americans. I looked at ordering from the USA but import and duties plus shipping and exchange was way more....plus I support a local lfs who is a good dude.

I can totally relate to your purchase. That is how I have my now, 12 year old macaw bird I raised from a chic. I would definitely keep the Viva lights. I have heard good things about them for the price point. Plus you never know, 10 years from know you may pull them out of the closet for a new tank. I have done that, but I am old
