The hydor is on a timer 4hrs on/4hrs off. We used to have a lot of euphyllia so flow was key. Now it's a lepto, deep water acro some shrooms and bubble left QT'ing.
I should also mention we use this awesome cheap wifi powerbar we got on amazon. You can program the timers and it has a count down function to turn thing automatically back on for feeding. It's not a Apex but definitely does the job.
