So I snapped my monti...? (I think)

I was doing some tank maintence last night and when my pesky clown went to get a bite out of me, I snapped my somewhat new montipora.. ( or atleast I think it’s a monti) it’s like the shelf looking corals that grow on top of eachother. I ended up leaving it in the tank and somewhat connected but I assume my flow worsened it. Now it’s just sitting in the tank upside down. What should I do? Just attach it somewhere else in the tank and have it grow from there?

I had a purple monti just like that thanks to a maroon years ago, fortunately that stuff grows fast.

I started wearing a shiny watch when I kept her, she'd hit her reflection instead of me, it became amusing to me after a while, and no more accidental frags.

Maybe now I can be in the market for a new watch.... I’ve been trying to contain her within my little strainer/ net thing whenever a frag hits the bottom of the tank to prevent all the bites

I call those "fat finger frags". I do that way too often!

This is exactly how I learned how easy it is to frag corals!

When I started out the number of times I came home with a new one and snapped pieces off, and then they just grew so free corals. It was a revalation!

Reattachment is the proper path of correction in these instances. Get a fresh bottle of super glue gel and reattach the monti and the clownfish to the rockwork. This will prevent future disturbances to the growing frags in your tank.
