I went to Petco to buy some snails for the 75 I just finished cycling and asked about a leather coral that was sitting on the sand not attached to any frag plug. The employee picked it up and tossed it in the bag for free! I'm not sure what it is but I'm guessing finger coral. Any guesses?

Sorry the pictures aren't the best.

Maybe an upset toadstool with it's polyps retracted.
I was hoping for a toadstool but wasn't sure. Every now and then they get those neon green toadstools!

That's not a toadstool, it's a ball of 2 part epoxy for reef scaping...

:)
Well that would be so funny if ended up being epoxy.
Would take it back and question them like crazy saying " so what you think best to feed this to get best colouration and growth "
Ha ha ^_^

That'd be hilarious!

It's waking up though, and I've never seen epoxy with polyps... Definitely not a neon green though, whatever it is. At least it's highly doubtful at this point.

Looks like a toadstool leather :). It’s just a bit upset and has its polyps retracted. It seems to be looking better now though - kali
