So I have heard that a friend will be bringing up a mauch larger tank that I currently have which is a 55gallon reef. She said it is between a 100-150gallons. She made it seem like it was 6ft long. So I see it being anywhere from a 120-150gallon tank. I am currently running two kessil a160 and a pair of t5-retrofit kit at 3ft long.
I know I will have to get more lighting but do not want to break the bank. I was originally thinking of using the two kessils I have as accent lighting and using 3 new SB reef lights as the main lights. I have 3 sb reef lights over my 180 and am completely sure they give the right par. Or could I get away with my original lighting and just add 1 kessil a360we in the middle? Or could I add 2 more kessil a160we for a total of 4 fixtures plus the t-5's. This will be a sps reef tank like the 55gallon tank.
Or any thoughts you might have for my lighting issue. I am trying to keep this cost effective because this will eb an expensive project since I will need to buy new equipment for the more than double the size tank.
