Ok so..... It's been a week. I now have live rock and 2 yellowtail damsel that I named Bevis and Butthead (lol #djm). I Checked all levels and they read good even though the tank looks cloudy/dirty to me. Mark (from the store) said this will cycle the tank in about 4 to 6 weeks... Then I can add some corals. Im in NOOOOOO RUSH. I am going to add more rock and sand in a few days.

Did you add any bacteria to the tank? One week is too early to add fish. Not to mention throwing more sand in.

What corals are you planning to add?

Yes I got bacteria also. I have NO CLUE about coral...I like COLOR. The manager (family owns the store) say that the rocks plus the bacteria and waste from the fish will cycle the tank. He said the yellowtail damsel and the clown fish could both handle the pH and other changes that the tank is gonna go through.

What type of lighting do you have?
The hood that came with the tank has light but it's blinking and won't stay on. There is a LED plant light growing herbs next to the tank until I can get a better light. I'm looking at 8ne on marinedepot.com

They can probably handle it, but its largely considered cruel practice nowadays. People profiting from fish sales aren't likely to share that info though. Not telling you to return the fish or anything, but just for future reference. Look up 'fishless cycle' next time, your fish will be much happier in an already cycled tank.
Also: Are you sure you did the ammonia test correctly? It should never be clear like that.

I did read that in my book...and I said a prayer for my fish. I won't be doing it again!!! Some one else said the Ammonia looked off....gonna test it again B4 I leave for work. Thanks
