How do I get my clown fish from attacking my corals I have added three nems and no help I’m getting so mad at these clowns

Try and section the clowns away from the coral and by the anemones if you can. They may not ever take to the nem, it’s a gamble. Mine prefers frilly mushrooms

I am hoping someone comes out with a small harpoon gun. Seriously I have watched helplessly as my two black clowns have killed 2 giant Goni’s. Fish are just in my tank to eat algae and poop. Killing corals is my job. I wish I could get them out but my rock work is not coming out I risk killing lost of money of SPS

Bottle trap with a larger mouth bottle. Netting in the early AM when they are fast asleep. Regular fish trap.

I have had good luck trapping fish after they get really hungry after a week of no other food.

Off topic, but remember when people were wooing over the Lighting Maroon Clowns? I told some friends that I would not pay $1 for one of those, let alone the $1000 that they wanted when newly bred, since one day you will just end up with a maroon clown that you will want to kill.

Late at night go down hit the with a bright light a scoup the out with a net.

I would wait a few hours once your lights are off, and use a net to get them out. My clowns “sleep” near the overflow, so I would assume yours sleep somewhere too!

If all else fails, you could rig up a fishing hook and go the old fashioned way! (Just kidding I don’t think that would work hahah)

Oh man that’s a bummer. Maybe you need fewer clowns? How many/what kind? How big is your tank? I have 7, 3 skunks, 3 ocellaris, and a maroon in a 220 and they never touched a coral except to try to host in a large torch that didn’t mind? (Knock on wood).

If all else fails , just simply drain all the water into large containers . Then reach in and pick him up off the gravel.

Two black snowflakes under 6 months old in a 40 gallon tank
