So many rookie mistakes and funny things....

i accidentally left a seal off a bulkhead in the overflow once. "whats that noise?" *sees water pouring from the bottom of the tank*

My rat fell off her stand while I was at work and got lost in my room so i panicked and lifted my bed to see if she was under it... it hit the tank stand just right to create a small leak in the tank seam... about an hour I walked in my room noticed water running off my tank stand haha It was to late and pet shops were closed so I used a giant tote my mom had emptied my entire tank into this tote. I then took off work the next day to run all around town trying to find a replacement tank. I was in such a hurry to get it done I forgot to put the overflow box on all the way... next day I noticed the paint in the back had all peeled off -.- so then I had to repaint the back of the tank with a tiny little brush hahaha

Most recent story was when I went home one weekend and I was feeding my fish. The clownfish jumped out of the tank at me and almost hit me in the face. I was then panicking to put the fish back into the tank haha

side note the same clownfish destroys my sand bed making holes all over the place clouding my water up like a diamond goby -.- so to counter this I bought acan frags and took a massive kenya tree then put them all along my sand bed so he has no space to dig haha

Palys were one of the first corals I had in my tank. A guy said they were very easy to start out with. Didn't give me any info, just the name. I googled them and almost removed them from my tank after learning more about them. I'm glad I didn't now as they are on a rock that I can move anywhere in the tank and the color has changed so much since moving them closer to the light. First pic is from Oct of last year. Second pic was a couple of weeks ago.

Ok so another Rookie/Funny story to add. This morning I woke at 5 am to go work out..glanced at my tank and noticed my poor little cleaner shrimp Pepe had died and was now laying in the middle of the rock colony. :( I fished his little body out and went to my workout. Remember, it's 5am and I'm very sleepy eyed. Came home...started googling cleaner shrimp deaths, making some coffee and I look over at the tank and see Pepe!!! He's in the tank....ALIVE. So what did I fish out? Well I take a closer look and realize it was just his shell....I guess he molted! I couldn't stop laughing. This hobby is like a rollercoaster ride!
