Last night my RBTA split in to three. This happened to be on the same day that I installed 2 T5 blue+ and ran them for 10 hours. For the last 6 months I had solely been using chinese black box leds. Did adding the extra spectrum help the anemone? Did I shock it into splitting? Or is it one big coincidence? All of my other corals (gorgs especially) responded very well to the new light yesterday, that was my reason for going balls to the wall and running them for 10 hours.

They are all very healthy colored sitting at the top of the tank, I took other 90 gallon tank parameters and I was at 80 degrees, 9.5dkh on hanna checker, .01 pO4 on hanna, 8.2 overnight ph and 20 nitrates on my Nyos kit that I don't trust.

Who knows? I don't think that when nems split, its necessarily a good thing? I wouldn't worry about it though.

Side note, make sure you ramp up the lights so the coral can adjust.
