Honestly, it can be hard to tell the difference between a paly and a zoa. If you look at the taxonomy of the two, they are almost identical. To me, they look like palys. Do they eat food? If they do, its a sure sign. One of the things that I have noticed is that palys almost always look like they are reaching for light. They seem extended. Now, zoas will do this if they are not receiving enough light, but usually they lay flat. The "lashes" around the eye are usually smaller on zoas than palys. In my research and experience. Anyone else care to chime in?

Those are zoas.
I wanna say from the blue lighting that they are blow pops.
Under whites and I'm assuming they weren't really kept under good lighting due to the color.
But the hight of them also suggests that.
Palys are usually larger than zoas with seemingly "thicker skirts" than that of a zoa.
