Usually with nano tanks I don't have a cube shape and lighting is really easy to figure out as far as shape is concerned. Now I have a biocube 14 gutted out because the pc lights are of course crapperoni and the ecoxotic LEDs that were in it were too much, not too much PAR (probably not enough) but the 44 key remote is way unnecessary for a reef tank. I lit my 90g for under 350, so I am really not going to feel good spending even Half that for a measly 14 gallons. I'm finding lights for like 170ish but that still seems proportionately insane. I don't need anything insane, just photosynthetic.

Any suggestions? I have minor soldering skills, like very minor haha.

how about the solderless kits from Rapid, if you are considering DIY. you dont need an soldering skills, just planning, gluing, and plugging.

Those lights are nice, but are there cheaper alternatives? I can follow diagrams, if anyone has any cheaper diy plans. I have 2 $190 fixtures on a 90 gallon. I have to find a light or schematic that is going to make my girlfriend also approve ($$). I'm definitely overly invested in all of my bodies of water haha.
