So I've been stuck into this tropic Marin pro mess. My lfs has been great and took my salt back. Would red sea blue bucket be a good option till I can get my hands on German tm pro?

Here's the 1micron sediment filter from 40 gallons of saltwater I made this past weekend from red sea blue bucket, I love the salt

Red Sea salt is dehidrated sea water and has some impurities in it (anything that doesn't evaporate ends up in your bucket of salt). I'd look at ESV or HW Marine Mix if you want a clean mixing salt.

Thats what makes blue bucket so good! its good parameters at a good price. Some buckets are dirtier than others but not so bad usually.

I definitely prefer tropic Marin. I've used red sea before buy since tropic marin it's all I've used but then I got by the Turkish blend
Yeah I hear this going on, its a shame but hopefully it gets sorted out, now that its in the heavy stages of complaints..but for now you can save some money and get 2x the salt...I cheat and run all my nsw thru the sediment filter for a few hours. But I do 100g at a time usually. Its 3$ and makes the water crystal clear.

Makes sense. I rarely do waterchanges and if I do it's maybe 15%. Ulns

I read Red Sea salt has beneficial bacteria in it due to the dehydration of natural sea water...
