I have an SPS dominated 60 cube. There are so many frags in it that I’ve even glued some to the back wall. I’ll have to seriously frag them as they get bigger. What I want is a bigger tank, but my husband has put his foot down so I’m pretty certain that there will not be a bigger tank in my future. I also have a 32 Biocube and a Fluval Evo 5 gallon. So.... I’m out of room for corals, I have just enough (too many!) fish. Im always eager for another challenge. I’ve fancied a DOS for water changes but hubby thinks it’s a waste of money since I can do it manually.

So when you have the equipment you need, your tank is established and growing, and everything seems stable enough, what’s next? This is a for real question. I’m bored and watching corals grow is like watching water boil....

Sounds to me like it's time to relax and reep the fruits of your labor. Enjoy what you have accomplished and created. You could introduce someone new to the hobby and help them start a system. You could take a teenager under your wing and teach him or her the hobby or find someone in the hobby that lives close that is struggling and give them a hand.

You can always sell frags and colonies to make room for more. Or maybe with the profits from selling corals you will be able to fund a new bigger tank or the DOS unit.
Now you’re on to something. The reason hubby doesn’t want a larger tank is because he’s ready to retire and doesn’t want a new “money pit.” I get that. When my two year old granddaughter goes to school I might get a part time job to earn some mad money. But until then....

If I can find someone, I most definitely. I love kids and I love learning. Another thing I thought of was getting a filter for my camera and try my hand at aquarium photography.

You can always swing the dos as "it will take care of water changes so I get more time with you "

And you can definitely sell frags to get a bigger tank.

I actually stop and sell blood plasma once or twice a week to finance "more" for my tank. I keep a "new fish tank fund" envelope on the fridge and my wife asks where the money came from, all she needs to hear if that I didn't take any money from savings or paychecks for it.
