So a few weeks ago I was walking through my LFS and noticed this guy who looked like he was on the brink of doom. The employee said he had been there a while and as I was making quite a few other purchases he offered this little guy to me for free. It was given to me as a LTA but given his size I'm not entirely sure of that but I'll yield to the experts on that one. My question is, his mouth hasn't stayed closed since I got him (wasn't closed when I picked him up) what are your thoughts on his survival chances? It seems his mouth wants to close some days and not so much on others. Also as of tonight my clowns have taken a shining to him and have started doing there thing and rubbing themselves all over. He has taken food (only fed him twice, brine shrimp, and he ate both times), he has only moved once since I got him and he's planted firmly where he is. Any thoughts? Should I separate the clowns and the nem for him to continue healing, if he is...?

I'm not sure about separating it from the clowns, but it looks like a Ritteri Anemone to me.

Looks like LTA, should have a red foot, and it seems set in sand which is typical of LTA

It does indeed have a red foot, not sure about the sand but I think you might be right.

Thanks brew, It seems to be kind of stuck in limbo as to whether or not it wants to come around and I'm not sure how the clowns behavior will effect it.
