I followed Dr Tim's cycle. Ammonia was sky high, wasn't coming down, so I said screw it added a huge bottle of FritzZyme. Worked like a charm!

Right now I'm sitting at 0 Phosphates, 0 NH3, 5-10 NO3. Have 2 clownies (Pip and Toby, wife named them) and doing great! Lights right now are T5's (2x Blue Plus, 2x Coral Plus) from 10AM - 4 PM. I have 2 AI HD 16's, but only use them for the moonlight right now. I don't see any algae? Am I running too clean? The clowns are 2 weeks in, my cycle has been done for 1.5 months. Lights were turned on when clowns were added. I'm expecting to make a CC crew order......but there's nothing for them to clean? Skimmer runs from 8 AM - 8 PM. Am I running too clean? I bought some gulf rock 2+ months ago, and cycled it in a garbage can. Added it to the tank 3 days ago to see if that "helps" with the original dry rock. Any other suggestions? Am I worrying about nothing? I expected to see some type of algae bloom by now.

Careful what you wish for. Uglies can last up to a year in. Some people battle algae in tanks older than that. 3 or 4 months is when mine really started growing

Thanks! I'm not wishing for it, just want to be prepared for the if and when with the appropriate cleanup crew.

Get some coraline introduced to your system. Get a live rock or snail with some on it. Then scratch some of it off into a powerhead to spread it around.
