Dang had to change the title. My head is zoo messed up.. I put the wrong temp..

Freez RODI ice Cubes and put them in the sump. that is one way to battle this esp if you are at 86. good luck.

or a 1L bottle that is caped filled with RODI then frozen. you can swap them out and because this is one very large block of ice you don't have to worry.

Doing this right now. It's helping but I need to freeze more.

Why is your tank getting so hot? Do you not have AC in your place? Or are you getting heat from a return pump or M/H lights too close to the water? Your Temp is higher than safe for just about all your living things! Can you elaborate a little about your setup?

Any updates
I also had high temp last night. When I got home from work. Up to 84.3 my chiller trip the breaker but it all fix. And may have lost some sps frags and some colonies didn't look to hot. But everything else looks good. Got it down to 82 this morning. Which I was keeping my tank at 78-79. so should I wait a day or 2 to bring the temp more down. Like to get it to 79-80.

i got an old chiller from mel.. its a small one but its keeping the tank at room temp..

i had major discoloration in 80%; of the SPS and 2 colonies melted a little.. my chiller is currently in route to JBJ for out of warranty repairs..

Yeah my AC unit went out. So thehouse was at 90+

My ssc colony and grag hiller lost alote of skin. and ORA German Blue Acro is gone.

the ORA purple nana and SA rainbow milli were the ones that melted a little..

and now they're totally brown..

Will see when I get home. All lps are nice and hungry last night with that high of temp. For the red Dragon it didnt look to good. Lucky all my new corals from WT are in the QT tank. Which has a fan the help keep the temp to 81.9 that's I keep it at 79-80.

Sorry to hear about that guys. Mine went out about 3 weeks before I started building my new system. Hmmm $2000 dollars later and my house was cool again.

Ouch.. I so feel for you guys and the AC issues. my tank got to 81.1 yesterday evening with the chiller running. it just could not overcome the heat in the garage. I put the barrel fan in teh garage door and it finally was able to overtake the temps once it got past 7pm.

Yeah my compressor was bad. $1k late it's working had to turn the AC down or temp up. It got so cold at 4am.
But lost wwc some wher over the rainbow milli and wwc blueberry acro,Ora German blue polyp acro and everything else is browned out.
And all the frags I cut last week lost it's skin.
