Socks or reefmat

Who would rather use filter socks or the reefmat, or
Vise versa? I'm struggling with the app and I belive the drive motor as well.
Hard to get the reefmat connected. I assume that when you push the forward/ backward buttons that the roller fleece should move,correct?

it depends if you want to do regular maintenance on socks or have the expense of the reefmat and replacement rolls. My reefmat works flawlessly, if you're having issue just try restarting the technical setup. It should auto-advance the roll for you using the optical water sensor, there should never be a need to manually advance the roll.

I went for 2 years using a 4 sock setup on my Reef XXL 750 and finally gave in and go the ReefMatt 1200 - man what a difference. I have had 1 or 2 minor issues but overall this thing is amazing and so glad to say goodby to monthly filter sock power washing + the tank is cleaner and Phos is lower with same food intake as before.
