I am using BRS Soda ash to maintain my Alk and am considering switching over to Red Sea Foundation powder. I would like anyone's input / experience on the issue. I'm not at all concerned with cost or any of the other peripheral aspects of the products. Simply which one works better, offers best results. Performance ONLY.

If you want to use an independent alk supplement, I don't think it matters what you pick except how that impacts pH.

Use baking soda if the pH is high already. Otherwise, I'd use sodium carbonate. :)
