Soda Ash pH Fluctuation

Recently purchased some BRS soda ash, calcium and magnesium to try and was looking to increase my alkalinity a little in my tank. Added just a few mL of soda Ash to increase alkalinity and this is what the pH probe on my apex picked up over the next few hours.

Is that amount of fluctuations ok/normal? Just curious if I can ignore that when that happens or not.

That is mostly noise. Something is wrong with the measurement. The pH would only move like from 8.0 to 8.2.
