SodaLime

Yea, that's a LOT of co2 you're working with. Are you basing its age off ph drop or of color change? I see color change pretty quickly on the large pellets, like 2-3 days max, but it still seems to work for at least a week after.

I based it off the color change and didn't notice a ph drop. Will wait on a ph drop this time

Yea. That's a good idea. Just really don't want to drill a hole in the side of the house

If it works you can drill a hole in the upper part of the top window shash that way it is though the window and not though the main wall. look up how to install a trickle vent and instead of just a vent, drill one hole though it. Then if you move your can just remove the hose and fill the hole or replace that shash.

Great tip thank you

Well I went ahead and drilled a hole through the brick wall. Somehow standing on a ladder and trying to drill a hole with my left hand using a hammer drill sucked a lot more than expected. So tomorrow I need to find a half inch drinking water hose. The Home Depot down the street was out of it, but that's about all that's left.

Consider adding a canister with carbon to filter toxins, especially if you have neighbors close that might spray stuff in the area.

Lowes had the drinking water hose so got everything buttoned up this morning.

Yea, but not as much as I was hoping. Before all of this it was 7.76 to 7.86. Now it's around 7.89 to 8.03

Running the hose outside did not change the ph but it really has helped with the soda lime depletion

Turns out my PH probe on the reefkeeper fell out of calibration. Its really odd since I re-calibrated it not that long ago.

This morning when I did my usual check everything on the tank for something bad that could have happened while I was asleep
(Is something leaking? Is the tank not too hot or not too cold? Did the dog go swimming in the sump? Did the tank explode? Does the skimmer cup look like beer foam?)

the PH was its normal 7.89 and it didn't make since why. I am running a Kalk Stirrer with a PH of 11.8 (run small portions of Kalk at a time).
Running an outside air line going through 2 canisters of Soda Lime. Alk is not low, got some serious current going on, etc.

So what I thought was 7.89 is really 8.1.

The lights still have an hour to run, but it looks like it tops out at about 8.25. Very happy with a 8.1 to 8.25 range

Make sure you watch your alk. My consumption skyrocketed once I got my ph in the correct range
