I am not 100 percent sure but I don't think you can raise Alk with vitamin C.

don't think it raises alk but if your not in the 7 to 8 zone you may get some clouding of the water, have to watch ph closely with C

I have never heard of Vitamin C raising some ones Alk, i would think you would need a ALK buffer lol.

From skimming Pufferpunks thread on here and RC, there have been people complaining of alk spikes when dosing. I guess it all depends on brand of vit c you are dosing. The one she recommends is NutriBiotic, Sodium Ascorbate, Crystalline Powder, 16 oz (454 g) - iHerb.com which states it has a ph of 7.1.

I doubt it would have a huge impact on alk. However, pH might be effected because it is somewhat acidic.

I would imagine the spike would be temporary and come back down.

ctsps, did you test your alk immediately after dosing?
