Hi guys I’m looking to dose the above for my Alk .

Does anyone know a flake that can be used instead of powder ? As it struggles to dissolve .

Does anyone know a flake that can be used instead of powder ? As it struggles to dissolve .

I've not seen flake, but the powder dissolves fairly easily and will typically be easier to dissolve than a lower surface area flake.

You may just be trying to dissolve too much.

My DIY recipe is below:

Dissolve 297 grams of baking soda (about 1 1/8 cups) in enough water to make 1 gallon total.

That is a tad above the solubility limit at 20 deg C.
