Hey guys I’m getting a really cloudy mixture even I’m mixing up my hydroxide. I’m using food grade and 75g/L. I was thinking this stuff mixed pretty clear in the past when I’ve used it. Is this an issue?

I'd let it sit and see if it stays cloudy. It might be tiny air bubbles from the heat of mixing, or maybe something insoluble, such as calcium hydroxide.

There’s a layer of something at the bottom. It’s clear above that. I am using rodi water. I’m not sure what could be causing so much precipitate. I share a container for dipping water out of my rodi and saltwater reservoirs as needed but it’s a 100 gallon container I’d think that residual amount of saltwater would be negligible.

I'd just ignore the solids. Only a tiny bit of magnesium will cause precipitation.
