Hello! Would this work okay for raising nitrates? I know there are many brands that have been talked about but I havent seen this one.

Thanks!

So that product is 4 oz which equals 118 grams. Mix that into 1180 ml of RO and 22 ml of the mix will raise my ~350 gallons of water 1.02 ppm correct? That's per the calculator that I keep seeing on the forums

I made a smaller batch as my nitrates are 0 but not sure how accurate or sway the Nyos kit has. With that in mind I wanted to raise nitrates to 10 or there about so started by dosing 20 ml. Tested for a few days and then dosed another 20 ml. All manually. Within 3 to 5 days the Nyos kit read 12 ppm. Now I dose about 30 ml per week when I remember while I track. Slow going is my approach.

Here is a post with the calculator and general reference.

Hopefully I can hop in here with a question. I mixed up the LoudWolf Sodium Nitrate and dosed it to my 10 gallon tank to raise it from 2ppm to 5ppm to start with. Nitrates rose as expected. However, the phosphate rose from about .05 to .12 ppm (checked using both the Hanna Phosphate and Phosphorous ULR). Is that normal for the phosphate to raise as well? Was only wanting to increase the Nitrates.
