Soft coral a pest?

These guys are growing on my rock that started on one section, now I see 2 little ones growing on another rock and wanted to know if I should pull them out or let them grow out, been trying to research but can’t get a clear outcome if good or a bad cause of spread take over. If I have to I will pull out rock and scrap as much as I can. Any advice would help, thanx

They can definitely become a pest if left unchecked, you can trim them but if a piece floats away it can reattach and grow from there. They make a good addition to refugium's if you have one in your sump. Best of luck!

It looks like clavularia sp. And if it can grow like a plague, if you don't want it, it's a good time to take it out.
