A rare activity today. I spent some time photographing my own tank. These are from my 40 breeder softie-dominant tank. Yes, soft corals can be colorful.

Those are great photos and I'm glad you are sharing that tank ... it is just fantastic to see in person with the flow and waving corals!

Thanks JM. Yes it's a nice piece. Sits high in the back and gets strong flow from the VorTech 40.

Sara, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it.

Reefer, I thought I had a shot of that favia but can't locate it. I'll shoot another one. It's a bluish piece I got from DD. A relatively rapid grower and it's held its color well.

Thanks Ben

Gary

Lazy, that yellow coral in the right foreground is not a xenia. It's a hitchhiker soft coral of some kind that just showed up on that little piece of rock. There is a smaller colony to the left and another colony has popped up on a rock in the rear of the tank. I'll get a closer shot of it when I photograph the favia. I have no idea what it is, but it's a nice spot of color and I'm going to let it grow. The fact that a colony popped up elsewhere makes me wonder if it'll become a pest, so I'm watching it carefully.

Very nice pictures Gary! Very nice to see a softie dominated tank - don't see too many of those any more.

Very, very nice Gary!

"Softies" are totally underated and underappreciated by so many in this hobby it's crazy to me... (many) have amazing color and the movement is second to none. Well done sir!

Very nice photos and corals. Thanks for sharing! I love soft corals flowing in the current.
