Heres some pics. It doesnt have a stem or anything like a toadstool. Its kinda like a toadstool muffin top. The polyps are short and densely packed. It kinda grows conforming to the rock around it. A close up pic of a frag I cut is included. If anyone knows what this is, Id be curious to know!

It looks like a leather most likely from a sarcophyton family.

So im gonna say your guess is probably spot on for it being a Toad.
My Tyree toad has almost no stem either, so toads can be almost stemless.

But the cap and the way the polyps are, its almost a sure guess its a toad.
My other guess was possibly a devil's finger, but they would have more ridges.
