Just a tip.. it's illegal to bring wild coral from Hawaii... unless you buy them at a store and present receipt at the check in on your flight. You can bring fishes thou... I tried but they are really hard to catch!!

I've brought wild corals and clams into the us from other countries and never was once questioned or asked abt them just put them in a heated container in your suitcase and put it under the plane

Well.. it's the law there, I am just saying
... when you get the fishing license that's one thing they stress a lot! when I came I passed through 5 check points before I board the plane... the problem is not entering main land, but is when you leave Hawaii.

Actually you cannot fish for corals and some shell fish in Hawaii, at least that what I was told when I got my fishing license in Hawaii.
