Hey does anyone know what softies if any can grow on the sand bed? I have light fiji pink sand, so I don't know if it's possible, but it'd be cool if it was.

Green star polyps can basically grow anywhere (I have mine in the sand bed right now).
Wow I thought they needed a solid surface to encrust. That'd be awesome to have a whole gsp garden ontop of the sandbed.

I've got... 5 colonies that started out as 1" frags that are now easily 8" or more in diameter (some quite a bit higher than others).

Gsp will still grow - just slowly. One of my leathers also prefers the sandbed - alsways closes up if I move him out of his current location.

Leathers work well on the sand, I have a couple on my sandbed (actually 4 of my 6 are on the sand). All I do is simply take the rock they’re attached to and burry it into the sand so just the top where the leather is encrusted onto is showing.
Here’s an FTS of my tank showing my corals I have on the sand :)

I would if I could find place that actually sells them. They're surprisingly difficult to find
Surprisingly Tidal Gardens always has them on their site. They are hard to find because they are so invasive that even coral farmers don't want them. Vivid Aquariums also sell them.
